(2nd thru 5th graders)
Learn how to make smart, creative, and effective choices in the audition room. Students will prepare and perform a 16 bar audtion cut of their choice and receive feedback from Associate Director, Matt DiCarlo. Students must bring their own sheet music in a binder.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Matt DiCarlo is the Associate Director for Moulin Rouge! The Musical. He staged the Off-Broadway production, Chicago production, and North American Tour of The Play That Goes Wrong and restaged the Broadway production of Beetlejuice for its premiere run in Seoul, South Korea. He is currently developing the new musicals The Ladies Man (book by Justin Mortelliti, music & lyrics by Justin Mortelliti and Shannon Hunt) and boy: a new musical (book by Jonathan Sangster, music by Matthew Hornbeck & lyrics by Jonathan Sangster and Matthew Hornbeck). Other Associate work: Sing Street (The Huntington) & The Color Purple revival (First National Tour). As a Production Stage Manager, Matt helmed several Broadway productions including Beetlejuice, Honeymoon in Vegas, and Rock of Ages. @mattyd0804
