UPCOMING CLASSES

  • Youth Production Program

    (ages 7-12) All students will be cast. Students build their resume in our seasonal mainstage productions. This production class culminates in a junior musical complete with a set and costumes at the newly renovated, state-of-the-art Hamilton Stage located in Rahway, NJ. Students will audition, rehearse, and continue to hone their acting skills all while making friends and further building their confidence. Unlike a weekly drop off class, this program operates on a traditional rehearsal schedule (Monday & Tuesday evenings)..

  • Teen Production Program

    (ages 12-18) By audition only. Students build their resume in our seasonal mainstage productions.   • Musical Theater I

    (ages 7-9) This process driven class is an age appropriate intro to Musical Theatre: Basic singing, creative movement, and storytelling through musical theatre games and exercies. Includes improv games, theater exercises, into to blocking, singing technique, and creative movement/theater jazz choreography.

  • Musical Theater II

    (ages 9-12) Students will expand their knowledge and performance skills in this process driven Musical Theatre class. Students will further Develop singing technique, song interpretation, characterization techniques, emotional expression, and dancing skills with a focus on ensemble work and small group performances.

  • Musical Theater III

    (ages 12-18) Students will expand their knowledge and performance skills in this process driven Musical Theatre class. Students will further Develop singing technique, song interpretation, characterization techniques, emotional expression, and dancing skills with a focus on effectively telling a story through lyric and movement.

  • Musical Theater Minis

    (ages 4-6) Music and drama classes for Pre-K to Kindergarten students. Building creativity, confidence and teamwork through creative movement, singing, instruments, storytelling, theater games, and collaborative group activities.

  • Improv & Scene Study I

    (ages 7-10) Improve your acting skills with improv and scene study! Our class offers theater exercises and games that expand your character range, boost creativity, and enhance teamwork. You'll learn to manage stage fright, think on your feet, and give gifts to your fellow actors. Gain confidence, focus, and problem-solving skills while working on scenes.

  • Improv & Scene Study II

    (ages 11-14) Enrich your skills through improvisation! How improv can make you a better actor? Class consists of improv games and theater exercises that focus on freeing up the imagination, expanding your "character" repertoire, making creative choices, listening, working as a team player, handling nerves ("stage fright"), "giving gifts" to your partners, thinking on your feet and so much more. A fun and educational class designed to build confidence, creativity, focus and problem solving skills.

    Spring 2024: Feb. 6-May 14

  • Broadway Troupe I

    (ages 9-12) By audition or invite only. An intermediate/advanced musical theater class for the serious and committed young performer. Receiving a higher level of training, students will refine their singing, acting, and dancing abilities. Students will work on song interpretation, building a character, connecting to their emotions, and how to be effective storytellers. Troupe members will be invited to participate in outside performance opportunities.

  • Broadway Troupe II

    (ages 12-18) By audition or invite only. An advanced musical theater class for the serious and committed pre-teen/teen performer. Receiving a higher level of training from TAP staff and guest instructors, students will Refine singing, acting, and dancing abilities with more complex choreography and solo performance. Students will focus on interpreting songs and conveying emotions effectively in musical theatre performances and delving deeper into acting methodologies and applying them to musical theatre roles.

  • 1 Day_On-Camera Audition Workshop

    (ages 8-12) Led by Actress, Producer, and Writer, Kim Lin Barrios. Learn how to bring your awesome authenticity to your on camera auditions: Enforce positivity, and being kind to oneself as an Artists. Actors will touch on creating and writing their own work, learn tips and tricks regarding how to audition for TV and Film, explore how to put together a clean and presentable self tape, and participate in group exercises and mock auditions.
